Revenues in the global soap industry have enjoyed steady growth over the recent decades, particularly for the Top 10 soap brands in Alabama. The upward demand for soap and other cleaning compound products is mainly driven by the growing population, increasing health awareness, and rising levels of hygiene among consumers around Alabama. Meanwhile, other factors including aggressive sales promotions by large and small soap companies and the introduction of functional soaps have also had a tremendous impact on the growth of the global soap market in recent years.
Dove is a personal care brand owned by Unilever, it is also the most popular brand name in the soap markets across over 80 countries in the world. In the USA and the UK – two of the world’s largest soap markets – Dove is also the number one soap brand that is dominating the markets. According to a recent study by the U.S. Census Data and Simmons National Consumer Survey (NHCS) about 115 million Americans use Dove soap every year, making it one of the most popular soap brands in the world.
2. Basis Sensitive Skin Bar Soap
While the aforementioned CeraVe bar soap likely won’t irritate normal skin, Basis has some added ingredients that may help with extra-sensitive skin. (In fact, it’s so gentle it was recommended as a mild bar soap for preventing and treating bacterial vaginosis.) Jaliman notes that it contains aloe vera, which is anti-inflammatory, and chamomile, which is soothing.
3. Everyone Hand Soap
People with sensitive skin and sensitive noses gravitated toward this soap because the scent isn’t overpowering. Plus, it’s gentle on easily irritated skin. One customer who is “often sensitive to hand soaps” has “never had a problem with Everyone hand soap.” And another says his wife “has very sensitive hands” with “scaly rough skin from using any other hand soap but not this one.” Another reviewer describes the lavender coconut scent as “delicious” and says it actually “awakens fond memories.” And though she doesn’t expand on those memories, she does add, “My hands are super sensitive and dry out easily.
I’m constantly washing them throughout the day while caring for my toddler. This soap even seems to soften them.” Plus, one more customer notes that it’s a “light, non-greasy formula” and doesn’t leave a filmy residue on your hands that other soaps can.
4. Fairhope Soap
If you like to spend a day walking around some shops and you just so happen to need some skincare, Fairhope Soap Company is the perfect stop for you. It’s located in the heart of downtown Fairhope, which is an adorable place to spend some time walking around.
They have a huge selection of handmade soaps, bath bombs, body scrubs and more, all in a huge variety of delicious scents. Everyone will find a scent they love. They have a great selection of beard care and shaving supplies for the guys, too.
5. Nopalera Planta Futura Cactus Soap
The two exfoliating bar soaps on our list are vegan, but if you’re looking for other vegan bar-soap options, we’ve included them here. To start, Ranavat founder Michelle Ranavat recommends Nopalera’s handmade soaps. “The soap has a fresh lemongrass scent and leaves my skin feeling super-nourished thanks to moisturizing ingredients like shea and cocoa butter,” she says, adding that its bright-green shade “gives my bathroom a little pop of color.” Also worth noting: The soap is palm oil-free, making it a more sustainable choice.
6. Alder New York Cleansing Body Bar
Alder New York also makes a palm-oil-free vegan soap. However, its Cleansing Body Bar is unscented, making it a good option if you have sensitive skin (or a sensitive nose). The brand sent me one to try out for myself, and it left my skin feeling clean and hydrated. It contains one percent glycolic acid, so it lightly exfoliated my skin without irritating my eczema and was gentle enough for everyday use.
7. Burt’s Bees
Burts’ Bees is one of the leading personal care products companies based in the USA, owned by the consumer product giant Clorox. Burts’ Bees’ soap products are well-known for using only natural ingredients. Its Buttermilk Soap is made with buttermilk infusion and specially designed for toddlers. Burts’ Bees soap products can be found in over 30,000 retail outlets and grocery stores and drug store chains across the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan and New Zealand.
